Fauzya Moore Appreciation Luncheon

Wednesday, January 27, 11:30 to 13:30

East Indian Company Restaurant,
210 Sommerset West, Ottawa

Harvard Graduation

Dear SID members and associates,

The Ottawa-Gatineau Chapter of the Society for International Development would like to invite you to an appreciation luncheon on January 27th (11:30-1:30), at the East India Company Restaurant (210 Somerset Street West - near Elgin) in recognition of Fauzya Moore, Chapter President of SID (1995 and 1996), and who served as Vice-President for many years.

Fauzya Moore has recently returned to Ottawa to resume her professional responsibilities at CIDA following a year abroad as a fellow of the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. Based on her experience, Fauzya has offered to speak on the theme of: Leadership and Development: The Harvard Growth Diagnostics.

This lunch is a follow-up to a lunchtime event we held two years ago when we celebrated two long-time chapter members Norma Walmsley and Doug Daniels who have made significant contributions to the chapter over the years. The title of Emeritus Member was awarded last year, to J. Brian Scott, for his many years of service to the Society.

This year, we are pleased to welcome Fauzya Moore as the fourth Emeritus Member, in recognition of her work in international development and her contribution to the Ottawa-Gatineau Chapter of SID.

As before, there is no entrance fee but members are asked to pay for their own buffet meal ($12.95). If you will be able to attend the luncheon, kindly rsvp to Vivian Cummins by January 26th, so we can plan accurately for the number of seats to reserve.

On behalf of the Board of SID-OG, we look forward to celebrating with you soon.

Your sincerely,

Soraya Hasanali
President
Ottawa-Gatineau Chapter
